Copper bug brooch

Small handmade copper and brass bug or beetle brooch.

The copper has been heat treated so it is a mixture of pink and blue shades, than lacquered.

Hammered etched and soldered, this insect has a safety catch soldered to his back.

Have a look at the picture of its underside,it reminds me of something from Alien....

He is about 1.25 inches or 2.7cms long.
